This guide explains how to install a downloaded Minecraft Bedrock Edition world on an iPhone or iPad.
Before you start, make sure you have Minecraft (Bedrock Edition) installed from the App Store. After purchasing a build, download your ZIP file from My Account → Orders on the LanderBlock website.
Method 1: .mcworld Import (Recommended)
This is the simplest approach and avoids navigating through app folders manually.
- Download the ZIP file to your device. It will appear in the Files app under Downloads.
- Rename the file from
.zipto.mcworld(long-press the file, tap Rename, and change the extension). - Tap the renamed
.mcworldfile. iOS will ask which app to open it with — choose Minecraft. - Minecraft will launch and automatically import the world. It will appear in your Play → Worlds list.
Method 2: Manual File Copy
- Download the ZIP file. Open the Files app and locate it in Downloads.
- Tap the ZIP to extract it into a folder.
- Move the extracted folder into: On My iPhone (or iPad) → Minecraft → games → com.mojang → minecraftWorlds
- If you do not see a Minecraft folder, open Minecraft once first so it creates the directory, then try again.
- Launch Minecraft and go to Play → Worlds. Your new build will appear in the list.
Uploading to a Realm (Optional)
- Open Minecraft and go to Play → Worlds.
- Tap the edit (pencil) icon on your imported world.
- Select Replace World and choose your imported build.
- Confirm and wait for the upload to finish. Your Realm will now run the new build, accessible on all devices linked to your account.
Want to play this build on your console? See Installing Builds on Consoles for how to sync via a Realm to Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch.
