This guide covers installing downloaded Minecraft Bedrock Edition worlds on Windows 10 and Windows 11. For other platforms, see the guides linked at the bottom of this page.
After purchasing a build, download your ZIP file from My Account → Orders on the LanderBlock website.
Method 1: .mcworld Import (Recommended)
If your download is a .mcworld file (or you rename the .zip to .mcworld), you can double-click it to import the world automatically into Minecraft. The game will open and the world will appear in your Play → Worlds list straight away.
Method 2: Manual Folder Copy
- Extract (unzip) the downloaded ZIP file.
- Press
Win + R, paste the following path, and press Enter:
%localappdata%PackagesMicrosoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbweLocalStategamescom.mojangminecraftWorlds - Copy the extracted world folder into the
minecraftWorldsdirectory. The folder should contain files such aslevel.dat,levelname.txt, and adbfolder. - Launch Minecraft and go to Play → Worlds. Your new build will appear in the list.
Uploading to a Realm (Optional)
If you want to play the build on your console or share it with friends, you can upload it to a Bedrock Realm:
- Open Minecraft and go to Play → Worlds.
- Find your imported world and tap the edit (pencil) icon.
- Scroll down and select Replace World.
- Choose your imported build and confirm.
- Wait for the upload to finish. Your Realm will now run the new world.
Troubleshooting
Cannot find the minecraftWorlds folder
The folder is inside a hidden system directory. Using the Win + R shortcut with the full path above is the easiest way to reach it. If the path does not work, make sure Minecraft Bedrock Edition is installed from the Microsoft Store.
World does not appear after copying
Check for a double-nested folder. The world files (level.dat, db) should sit directly inside a single folder within minecraftWorlds, not nested inside an extra subfolder.
