Understanding how creator payouts work on LanderBlock helps you plan your earnings and know exactly when and how you get paid. This guide explains the commission structure, payout method, refund handling, and where to track your income within the Creator Dashboard.
How Creator Commission Works
When a buyer purchases one of your Minecraft builds, the sale price is split between you and the platform. The calculation is simple:
Sale Price x Your Earnings Percentage = Your Earnings
The current commission rate is shown on your Creator Dashboard — both on the Overview tab (in the stats row) and on the Earnings tab. LanderBlock retains the remaining percentage as a platform fee to cover hosting, payment processing, and marketplace operations. The rate is configured by the platform and may change, so always refer to the figure displayed on your dashboard for the current split.
For example, if your dashboard shows that you earn 85% and a build sells for £10.00, your earnings for that sale would be £8.50.
Minimum Price
All builds listed on LanderBlock must be priced at a minimum of £1. There is no maximum price cap, though the suggested pricing tiers in the upload form go up to £20.
Payout Method: Stripe Connect
LanderBlock uses Stripe Connect to process all creator payouts. Stripe is a trusted global payment platform used by millions of businesses. Setting up Stripe Connect is self-service — go to your Dashboard → Settings tab and click “Connect with Stripe” to begin.
To set up Stripe Connect, see our dedicated guide: Setting Up Stripe Connect.
How Payouts Work
Payouts happen automatically on a per-order basis. When an order containing your build is marked as completed, your share of the earnings is transferred to your bank account via Stripe. You do not need to request payouts manually or wait for a scheduled payout cycle.
Minimum Payout Threshold
There is a minimum earning threshold before a payout is triggered. This threshold is shown on the Earnings tab of your Creator Dashboard under the “Min Payout” stat card. Earnings below this threshold will accumulate until the minimum is reached.
Refund Handling
If an order is refunded after it has been completed, the creator payout for that order is automatically reversed. The refunded amount is deducted from your next payout or recovered from your Stripe balance. This ensures that payouts always reflect actual completed (non-refunded) sales.
Where to Track Your Earnings and Payouts
Your Creator Dashboard provides two key tabs for monitoring your finances:
Earnings Tab
The Earnings tab shows four summary cards:
- Total Earned — your lifetime earnings from completed sales.
- Your Rate — the percentage of each sale you receive.
- Min Payout — the minimum threshold for triggering a payout.
- Payout Method — confirms Stripe Connect as the active payout system.
Once Stripe Connect is fully configured, detailed breakdowns and payout history will also appear on this tab.
Orders Tab
The Orders tab provides a line-by-line record of every sale. Each order row shows the sale total and your earnings for that specific transaction, making it easy to verify that your commission is being calculated correctly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change the commission rate?
The commission rate is set by LanderBlock and applies to all creators at a given tier. Higher tiers may receive improved rates. Check the Creator Tiers Explained guide for details.
What if I have not set up Stripe Connect yet?
Your earnings are still tracked and accumulated. However, payouts cannot be processed until your Stripe Connect account is linked and verified. Go to Dashboard → Settings and click “Connect with Stripe” to get started.
What happens if a buyer requests a refund?
If an order is refunded, your payout for that order is automatically reversed. Your dashboard earnings will reflect the adjustment.
Where can I see individual sale earnings?
The Orders tab in your Creator Dashboard shows your earnings for every individual order.
