To receive payouts for your Minecraft build sales, you need to connect your Stripe account directly from your Creator Dashboard. Stripe Connect is the payment infrastructure that transfers your earnings to your bank account after each completed sale. This guide walks you through the entire self-service setup process.
What Is Stripe Connect?
Stripe Connect is a payment platform that allows marketplaces like LanderBlock to split payments between the platform and individual sellers. When a buyer purchases your build, Stripe handles the payment processing and automatically routes your share of the earnings to your connected bank account.
LanderBlock uses Stripe Express accounts, which means Stripe manages most of the account complexity for you. You do not need a pre-existing Stripe account — one is created for you during the onboarding process.
What You’ll Need
Have the following ready before you start the Stripe onboarding process:
- Your real name and date of birth — as they appear on official documents.
- Bank account details — sort code and account number (UK) or equivalent for your country.
- Phone number for verification — you will receive an SMS code during the process.
- Your home address
How to Connect Your Stripe Account
Stripe Connect setup is entirely self-service. Here is how it works:
- Go to Dashboard → Settings — open your Creator Dashboard and click the Settings tab in the sidebar.
- Click “Connect with Stripe” — in the Stripe Connect section, click the button to begin onboarding.
- Complete the Stripe onboarding form — you are redirected to Stripe’s secure onboarding flow. Follow the steps below to fill it in.
- Return to your dashboard — after completing the Stripe flow, you are redirected back to LanderBlock. Your Stripe Connect status now shows “Connected” with a green indicator.
Filling in the Stripe Form
The Stripe onboarding form has several steps. Here is exactly what to expect at each stage.
Step 1: Verify Your Personal Details
- Enter your full legal name as it appears on official documents.
- Enter your date of birth.
- Enter your home address and phone number.
- You will receive a verification code via SMS — enter it to continue.
Step 2: Business Details
- For Industry, select “Software” or “Digital products”.
- For Website, you have two options:
- Click “Don’t have a website? Add product description instead” and enter: “I sell downloadable Minecraft world builds on LanderBlock”
- Or enter your LanderBlock store URL, which you can find and copy from your Creator Dashboard Settings page.
Step 3: Review and Submit
- You may see “Personal details invalid” — this is normal and nothing to worry about.
- Click “Edit” next to it, then click “Verify account representative”.
- Confirm your details on the “Are these personal details correct?” screen.
- You may be asked to verify your identity — this is with Stripe, not LanderBlock. Stripe needs to verify who you are for financial regulations.
- Once you submit, you will be redirected back to your LanderBlock dashboard.
After Connecting
Once your Stripe Express account is verified and connected:
- Your dashboard Settings page will show “Stripe connected” with a green checkmark — confirming your account is active and ready to receive payouts.
- View your Stripe Express Dashboard — a “View Stripe Dashboard” button appears on your Settings page. Clicking it generates a secure login link to your Stripe Express Dashboard, where you can view payout history and bank transfer records. Note: Express accounts use a platform-generated login link — you do not access it through dashboard.stripe.com directly.
- Payouts happen automatically — when a buyer purchases one of your builds and the order is completed, your share of the earnings is automatically transferred to your bank account via Stripe. You do not need to request payouts manually.
- You can disconnect Stripe at any time — a “Disconnect” option is available on your Settings page if you ever need to unlink your Stripe account. Be aware that disconnecting will pause all payouts until you reconnect.
Stripe Connect Status States
The Stripe Connect section on your Settings tab shows one of three states:
- Not Connected — you have not started the process. A “Connect with Stripe” button is displayed.
- Incomplete — you started onboarding but did not finish. A yellow warning banner appears with a “Complete Setup” button that takes you back to Stripe to finish the process. You will not receive payouts until onboarding is fully completed.
- Connected (Active) — your account is verified and ready to receive payouts. A green status indicator confirms the connection.
Earnings Before Setup
If you make sales before connecting Stripe, your earnings are still tracked in your dashboard. Once your Stripe Express account is connected, any accumulated earnings will be paid out with your next completed order.
Important Notes
- Additional verification for larger payouts — Stripe may request additional documentation as your earnings grow. This is standard financial compliance and helps protect both you and the platform.
- Keep your details current — if your bank account or personal details change, update them through your Stripe Express Dashboard (accessible via the button on your Settings page).
- Refund handling — if an order is refunded after your payout has been sent, the payout amount is automatically reversed. See Payments & Payouts for more detail.
